The National 6280HD Gladiator is an electric, hydraulically driven walk-behind scraper with a 1.5 HP motor. National designed it for hard goods such as ceramic tile and hardwood, and says it handles soft goods too. It shares many features with the 6280 Commander but carries a heavier torque rating, a rounded front weight, siped wheels and built-in wheel scrapers.

What National specifies for this machine.
- Hydraulic oil: Texaco Rando 46 or a compatible ISO or AW #46 fluid from a brand-name manufacturer. An oil change takes 1.5 gallons (checklist); the manual calls for a 2 gallon (8 L) container to drain it.
