Crain No. 715 #00 Open End Thimble, Thumb

The No. 715 is an extra-large open-end sewing thimble. This size is suitable for use on the thumb. These thimbles have several features that make them useful for carpet sewing purposes. The outer surface includes a coarse grate for pushing a needle point. The open end helps the thimble stay on and exposes the end of the thumb for gripping and other purposes. Formed from brass, and nickel-plated. Sold by each thimble.
