The GP700 is National's 27" counter-rotational grinder and polisher, powered by a 7.5 HP three-phase electric motor. National rated it for mastic, thin-set and coating removal and for concrete polishing.

National no longer lists the GP700 on its website. The manual below is the latest revision National published.

Maintenance schedule

Daily (after each day's grinding) Clean the machine; do not let grinding paste cake up
Weekly Check coupling bolts for tightness
Every six months Grease wheels, 1 shot each; bearing cap fittings (2), 3 shots; foot leveling device fitting, 1/2 shot; handle pivot shoulder bolts (4), 1/2 shot
Once a year Check gear case grease level (should reach half the thickness of the helical gears)
Checklist (no interval given) Empty and clean the water tank; check pitch lock, E-stop key and lanyard, caster, the four weights, control box (soft start, FWD/REV, variable speed), shroud and base seal brushes, Morflex couplers, hoses, frame for cracks and water trickle

  • Gear case: holds 6-1/4 lb of grease
  • Handle Zerk fittings: white lithium grease, if required
