Buying Guide

Flooring type Match the adhesive to the covering: carpet, resilient or LVT, engineered wood, laminate, or wall base. Each product page names what it is designed for.
Wood thickness and width Wood adhesives list plank limits. Roberts 1407 is for engineered and parquet up to 1/2″ thick and 5″ wide; Roberts 1487 is for engineered planks up to 5/8″ thick and 12″ wide above grade on wood substrate.
Substrate and location Check the product page for approved substrates. Roberts 6700 is for indoor or outdoor carpet. Roberts 8600 is for stair noses on properly prepared wood subfloors.
Package size Many adhesives come in several sizes, from cartridges and quarts to gallons and larger. Pick the size on the product page.
Single-part or two-part Mannington MR-721 is a two-part epoxy and MR-725 is a two-part urethane. Two-part products need to be mixed, so plan the job around that.
Application tools Wall base adhesive is applied from cartridges, and disposable cove nozzles fit common cartridge tips. Trowels are in a separate collection.
