 The 28-1/2 in. handle is connected to an elliptical cam mechanism for even pressure  acquire perfect results.( It cut pretty smooth) The precision miter guide provided in align material for 0 to 45 degree cuts.(does angles) It does a OK job on laminate and engineered wood flooring works very on LVP, LVT, SPC, WPC flooring, VCT, MDF. And if you do vinyl siding and fiber cement siding it will cut it.
