Crain No. 532 Topset Gouge

The topset gouge forms a ⁵/₃₂” wide groove on the back side of vinyl or rubber cove base to produce tight-wrapped corners. The groove removes excess fullness at the corner that can cause the base to pucker and form gaps from the wall. Grooving depth is adjustable using the knurled steel nut. Wood handle is rounded to fit the palm comfortably. Blade is replaceable and resharpenable (No. 533).
